Washington County Water Conservancy District • Office Building

This three-story office building was designed for the Washington County Water Conservancy District. It is located at the top of the red ledges overlooking St. George City. Campbell Architecture was asked to design this facility to blend into the red rock mesas on the edge of the desert reserve. This facility is the only commercial architectural design in St. George to be considered as indigenous to its environment. Each level in the facility is assigned to three specific functions, i.e., corporate offices, administration and engineering. A written program was not provided by client, so Kim Campbell interviewed the client to obtain all the program needs to accommodate the client’s wishes. The program phases provided included schematics, design, design development, and final working drawings. Construction administration was also provided.
